I accept credit card payments through Paypal. They are secure and insure both buyer and seller. It's also free to sign up. If you wish to use checks, money orders or use Paypal with your checking account to send a payment to me directly then e-mail me here. Christian@mythwood.com

Order Process

Each of the original pyrographic pieces take approximately one to three weeks to complete once I start working on it. I work in the order that each commission is received so the time from your order date to the finish date can be much longer than the time it takes to actually do the piece. Shipping times to and from me for furniture can also increase this time frame. For this reason I will only do a limited amount of original pyrographic pieces each year. This will also apply to custom orders and commissions in pyrography and painting. I will inform the customer through e-mail when they order a piece how many orders are proceeding them and will also e-mail when I start their order.

Custom orders of pyrography on your own furniture will take roughly the same amount of time once it has been shipped to me depending on size and detail involved. Commissioned paintings also will depend on size and detail. Times and pricing can both be discussed per individual order. You can use the prices of the originals for sale in my gallery to get a general idea of size and costs of commissions.

Shipping Information

All shipping and handling on original pyrographic work is included in the price of the work. I will ship either with UPS or in the case of larger items such as tables I will use a freight service that will deliver to your home. Orders outside the continental united states will require shipping charges.

For paintings and other flat work shipping will apply. Use the following table to calculate shipping costs.

All purchases will be shipped Priority US Postal Service with Delivery Confirmation. All international orders will be more expensive for shipping/handling. Please e-mail for a quote.

Frames and Furniture

Most of the wood furniture for my pyrography is from John Greenleaf Furniture and is made of birch or alder hardwoods. They offer a large selection various types of unfinished furniture that works well for pyrography. If you find something from them or from another furniture source that you would like done pyrographically e-mail me and we can discuss details.

The frames on my work come from various websites dealing in custom framing or local frame shops. On the pyrographic panel work the frames are all carved wood frames like the kind you would see in galleries. I select them based how well they compliment the piece.

Prints

All 8x10 prints are printed by myself with my inkjet printer. These are rated to last 15 to 20 years if kept out of sunlight. Larger prints I have are done with a print service and are rated to last 100 years if kept out of sunlight. Each print is sized to fit the paper it's printed on.. There will be white borders on some of them which will make them easier to mat and frame. Each print is hand signed and numbered when there is a limited print run. They are shipped with a protective sleeve and backing board.

Canvas prints are also archival and rated to last 100 years if kept out of sunlight. Canvas prints will always be signed and numbered limited editions.
